Requirements:
-Journeyman Certificate with preference given to those with heavy collision experience
-Completion of High School
-Work well and closely with other employees
-Read and write English
-Ability to multi task and stay organized in a busy environment
-Friendly and personable
Job Description:
-Review damaged vehicles and establish an efficient plan of repair
-Repair and replace body panels on damaged vehicles. Some of which include: bumpers, bolted on front sheet metal, door skins, rear body panels, and side apertures
-Remove and reinstall exterior glass and interior trim panels
-Operate frame straightening equipment including set up of re-measuring equipment
-Operate MIG welding equipment, oxy-acetylene torches, and resistance spot welding equipment
-Repair panel imperfections including dents and buckles then apply cosmetic filler
-File, grind, and sand panels to correct imperfections
-Some sanding of exterior and interior surfaces in preparation for refinishing
-Replace mechanical components including radiators and air conditioning components
